The ENACT project, co-funded by the Single Market Programme for business competitiveness, is a pioneering initiative focused on accelerating the digital transition and promoting entrepreneurship within the agri-food social economy. Aiming to transform the European food system towards sustainability, ENACT emphasizes transnational cooperation to enhance capabilities and foster resilient, fair, and inclusive territories.
Towards a Greener and Digitalized Agri-Food Sector
ENACT addresses the critical challenges of the European agri-food sector by integrating digital innovation to drive sustainability, resilience, and efficiency. With a vision that goes beyond mere digitalization, ENACT aims to transform the agri-food social economy, a key player in local development and social inclusion. The project’s actions include assessing needs at both local and international levels to ensure that implemented solutions are tailored to the sector’s real challenges, while also providing training and tools to facilitate the digital transition of businesses and social initiatives.
It promotes collaboration and the creation of transnational networks to foster more sustainable, fair, and efficient agri-food practices. With a focus on reducing the ecological footprint and generating replicable solutions across Europe, the project aims to develop an agri-food model that is both innovative and environmentally friendly. The ultimate goal is to ensure that the sector is prepared to face future social and environmental challenges, creating more resilient and supportive territories.
ENACT's Ecosystem
The ecosystem created by ENACT is based on the adoption of digital solutions aimed at transforming the agri-food sector towards sustainability and resilience. With the objective of reducing environmental impact, this ecosystem connects businesses, organizations, and communities within the social economy to share knowledge and access new technologies, driving innovation across every part of the agri-food chain.
Through training programs and educational initiatives, ENACT provides the necessary tools and skills for social initiatives and SMEs to make the digital leap and address the sector’s challenges. This network promotes the co-creation of solutions, supporting sustainable production, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and resource optimization at all levels.
Additionally, ENACT’s ecosystem encourages transnational collaboration, bringing together actors from various European countries to work jointly on developing more efficient and sustainable agri-food practices. In doing so, it creates a support network and mutual learning platform that not only benefits the agri-food sector but also contributes to a fairer and more resilient social economy at the European level.

Six Partners for Long-Term Results
The project partners play a key role in the implementation of ENACT, bringing expertise in digital innovation, sustainability, and the social economy to tailor the initiative to the needs of the agri-food sector.
ENACT aims to achieve a significant transformation in the European agri-food sector. It is expected that over 200 social economy actors will receive training in digital and sustainable skills, and that transnational networks will be formed to promote ongoing collaboration among participants. Through financial support, the development of innovative digital solutions is anticipated, enhancing the sector’s efficiency and sustainability. The project also aims to establish a model that can be replicated in other regions of Europe, ensuring that ENACT’s impact endures in the long term.
B.Link, thanks to its expertise in managing Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP), is responsible for developing comprehensive guidelines for granting FSTP to social economy enterprises and facilitating organizations. This includes detailing the selection process, establishing objective criteria for awarding FSTP across various activities, and defining guidelines for determining the amount of support allocated to each participant. Additionally, B.Link will design and implement the main tool for the comprehensive and detailed monitoring and management of the project, enabling efficient tracking of progress, objectives, and key performance indicators across all project activities.
